We Are All In This Together.

Hello there....

Today I am  going to tell you a little about the Quad squad. This refers to three amazing army moms and myself.  When my son left for the Army the wonderful lady from the red cross looked at me and said.. "Honey you better go make yourself some Army mom friends. You will need them." Wow was she right.

The day my son shipped to Fort Benning I started searching for Army mom friends. I met a few and they are great and I'm still in contact with them. I will tell you from experience, find moms that have SIT's in the same company. This makes a huge difference in your life.

The day after my son left I created a Facebook support group for his company. Within a week I had 3 amazing Army mom friends. Each and everyone of us are completely different but going through the same crazy roller coaster we call Army Mom Life.  We laugh together, cry together and worry together. They keep me grounded when my mind goes crazy and I do the same for them.

I have learned that having a child in the military is not an easy task and it is vital to have a support team. When your child joins the military you can not stop living the life you already had. We still have to go to work and do family responsibilities all while having the realization that our life is different. And when people tell you they understand what you are going through, they really don't. We gave life to these boys and protected them while turning them into great young men. Now they are protecting us and all of you. Unless you experience this life you can not grasp what it feels like. We want nothing more than to know that they are ok, but our only real contact with them is through letters. When our boys write letters we share with one another what is happening in their life. When one of us get a letter it is as if all four of us received a letter. I truly thank God for that.

We officially met face to face at family weekend and at this time we were able to meet each others soldiers as well. These boys are now like my sons as well. I used to have one son in the Army and now I have four.

We get through everything together.
Together we all run a great Facebook group for our Army family. (Sorry but that part of out life is private). Together we get through the days that feel unbearable and the days that are happy.   We will remain forever friends and vowed to support one another no matter what the Army may throw at us... I LOVE YOU LADIES!!

And so it begins

Today officially  makes the ten week mark of my boy leaving for the Army. I can honestly say it has been one heck of a roller coaster ride. It is amazing as to what I have learned in the past 10 weeks.

Never think that you will know everything that will happen. I thought I knew what was going to happen and when... HAHA ... that is so far from reality. I am going to start this blog out with the beginning. My story may be a little different that some of yours because my son is Infantry and in OSUT(basic training and AIT all in one. 14 weeks strait through.)

When my SIT(soldier in training) left for basic training I had been researching everything and thought I had a time line. When they first leave they go to reception. This is where they get that fresh hair cut, all of there uniforms and actually anything they need. We wasted time shopping for  items that he had to purchase there. Some parents get calls right away, this mom did not. He was at reception for 4 days before I heard from him. But let me tell you that was the one of the best phone calls in my life. He was doing well and learning to get yelled at and hurry up and wait. He remained in reception for 10 days. I only knew that he shipped at 4 am on the 10th day because someone seen his snap chat. I was an emotional disaster to say the least. I started reaching out to parents for any kind of support and knowledge I could get. Army moms and families understand what you are going through. I thought I knew. I had friends kids join the military and felt sad for them......but i did not understand. I had no idea the sense of pride, sadness, worry, frustration and joy that moms feel. Now I know and will use my knowledge to educate and support our military family.

While he was in reception I received two letters. I think I carried them with me for days. I can't really remember it's a bit of a blur. We can not write them in reception and can only write after we get an address roster number and platoon. The address is very long. I printed labels, This makes your life much easier.

Im going to end today's post at that.  Remember to make sure to look for next weeks post.  Im looking forward to telling you all about the Army Mom Quad Squad.

Stop.......What are you putting on your skin?

We all Know the guilt of watching glamorous infomercials about the latest and greatest skincare products out there, The ones that swear thay will defy time and or  give you porcelain smooth celebrity like skin………
Stop…..Wait……..

Do you believe it? Well apparently many people do because so much money is spent on products that claim some well known celebrity is gorgeous because of this product.  Are you guilty? Did you spend way too much money on the latest breakthrough in the anti-aging magic potion in a bottle, only to be disappointed? I know you want to look like the people on TV…. Well HELLO they are models, not us real people that have to get three kids ready for school, pay the bills, get to a meeting and still make yourself look like a million bucks all before 8 am.
She’s All That Naturally offers different products for different skin types because everyone is faced with their own unique skin care issues.  An example of what not to do ……You would not want to use a moisturizer designed for oily skin on dry skin because most likely you are going to end up with super dry skin. It is important to know your skincare type when selecting your skincare routine.

As important as it is to know your skin type it is equally important that you choose one or two problems you want to battle, putting 20 different items on your skin at once is only going to overload and could possibly cause irritation. Do your homework when it comes to skincare; know what your products do and what ingredients they contain.
As a natural skincare company we encourage our clients to avoid products with harsh chemicals and look for ingredients that are proven to work. Every single product you use will be filled with functional ingredients. This allows the product to spread, gives them body and texture that creates, a lotion gel or cream. Next we have the performance ingredients (aka active ingredients).

The Performance ingredients that we use in She’s All That Naturally are all clinically proven. Regardless if you use our products or someone else’s, look for the following ingredients to get the most out of your product.

The Structure of the skin

AHA’s: Dissolve the glue like substance the binds the dead skin cells together giving you a youthful glow.
*Sunburn Alert: When using AHA products you should always wear a sunscreen as                     the old layer of  skin is exfoliated the new layer is more susceptible to sunburn.

Vitamin C: Blocks out the free radicals and helps with collagen production. It is important                          for vitamin c  serums to be in an opaque, airtight container to keep the vitamin                          C from oxidation.
Retinoids: Increase collagen production, speed up cellular turnover and may unclog pores.

Kojic Acid: Known to reduce sun damage and age spots. A skin lightener. It slows down the     skins ability to create melanin in the cell that produces dark spots.

Peptides: Amino acids that are proven to effectively penetrate(do to nano particles) into          the skin. They build collagen and heal the skin.

Salicylic Acid: (BHA) Great for oily and problem skin. Antimicrobial known to treat skin         care problems, such as acne, and psoriasis.

Hyaluronic Acid: Draws up to 1000 times its weight in water to the skin for deep                 hydration.

Antioxidants: Fight the free radicals causes by sun and pollution that your skin is exposed to on a daily basis. Look for some of the following, Vitamin, A C and E as well as green tea and CQ10

DMAE: Firms and lifts the skin, great for neck and jawline.

MSM: Builds collagen and smooths

You want to always use a sunscreen regardless of what other skincare products you use. It is important to use a moisturizer as well. They should go hand in hand.

At Cutie Pitutie we invented She's All That Naturally to give you the top of the line skincare products with most effective ingredients available. We do not use any artificial fragrances, parabens, sulfates or dyes.

As said in my last blog post, Just because a product is not $120 an ounce does not mean it is not a quality product. Sometimes you get more than what you pay for.

If you do not know your skincare type or needs, we can help you with a skincare analysis and suggest a custom designed skincare routine that is as unique as you are.

Defying gravity doesn't have to cost a fortune.

As I approached the forty something club, I suddenly felt the need to stop time on my face. I spent countless hours researching what ingredients would help stop the clock. I thought I was prepared to buy my fountain of youth in a bottle. Armed with my little scratch pad of what I was looking for I ran to the fancy department store searching for the latest  products that would be............

Anti-aging
Time reversing
Anti-wrinkle
But Natural as well

As a natural bath and body company owner  I was on a mission to find products that are natural and affordable. After all a mom of 7 has a very tight budget. The only thing I could find was overpriced products loaded with random chemicals or natural products that are so expensive I could never allow my frugal self to buy them.

I had a mission to create my own skincare line and that is how She's All That naturally came to life. I continued to search for months to find the perfect cocktails of high end, natural and organic ingredients.
I wanted products that would help my aging skin as well as help my teenagers tackle the dreaded  acne-plagued skin issues that come with puberty.

First I really considered what I wanted in a skincare line. Natural of course, but I also wanted the best of the best that there was to offer.
As I formulated amazing products at a price even us frugal moms could afford, I started to wonder why we all have been trained to believe you get what you pay for? Let me tell you
that is.... Not always true!!!

I had a dear friend message me about one of the newest products that is booming right now. I will not say the name but the product is $110 for one ounce. I was thinking this has to be some amazing product. She took a picture of the ingredients and  as I read it I wanted to SCREAM.
There was nothing fancy in this product, No MSM no pep-tides, no hyaluronic acid not even  vitamin c.

The only ingredient that stood out to me was something known to be a super skin irritant that causes temporary inflammation  of the skin. Therefore you think it is a miracle  that is taking away your wrinkles.

I hate to break it to all of you  but, the only thing that will instantly take away your wrinkles and fine lines does NOT come in a bottle. You will need to make a trip to your local skincare center for that.
Products can lighten your skin, reverse sun damage, reduce wrinkles fine lines and more. You must understand this takes time, after all  the damage did not happen over night.

One reason products are so expensive is because of the packaging. Most people  look at a package and if it's gorgeous you assume the product is good, a perfect example
would be this...

These two products are exactly the same but I could sell the one the right at a much higher price because of the packaging. (Don't worry Supreme C lovers I wont raise the price)

Another reason skincare products are so expensive is because of the name. Some labels are established or considered a high end name. Because of this they can sell you the exact same serum I can for $98 and you will buy it. And to think the same serum from She's All That Naturally  is only $18. So therefore, you just paid for a name... not the product.

I have accomplished my mission and developed She's All That Naturally, a natural, boutique skin care line specializing in high end  ingredients.
I want to prove to people that I can offer you supreme, high end skincare at prices you can afford. Every product I sell is used on me and my family and I am very particular about what we put on our skin.
Settle for nothing but the best!

Summer Hair

The Struggles of  Fine, Unruly  Summer Hair

Having super fine hair is a struggle at all times but summer can be the worst. During the Summer months it is very humid and there for hair sucks in excess moisture causing unfavorable hair .

Here is my summer salvation hair remedy.

First of all you want to use a sulfate-free shampoo.
Shampoo with sulfates dry out your hair, if you don't want to take my word for it, look it up you might be surprised at what you find.
A little FYI Cutie Pituties Bubbly Bath syrup can be used as a Shampoo and it is sulfate free. I am also in the process of designing a sulfate free shampoo in the following scents
Tea Tree and Peppermint
Sweet Orange and Lavender
and
Lemon Lime

As important as it is to use sulfate-free shampoo in the summer, it is just as important to wash your hair properly

First of all make sure your hair is completely wet and apply shampoo to the scalp and wash thoroughly to break down the oils,
Repeat only this time start at the scalp and wash to the ends. Your scalp is where all of the oil is so do not over wash the ends.

Next make sure that you condition your hair but DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT put conditioner all the way up to the scalp. Putting conditioner on your scalp is going to leave you with oily hair in no time.  Be sure to start at the ends and work up about 2/3 of the way.

If you have a wet brush use it, If not Get one you will wonder how you ever lived with out it.

So now that we have the cleansing part out of the way I will share my other summer secrets.
The first being I use a light volumizing  spray gel to help keep frizz at bay and blow dry with a diffuser. This is when I actually have time to do something with my hair.

Do not put heavy products on your hair as it will weigh it down.

My all time favorite summer hair product is my
Making Waves Sea Salt Spray
(available soon)

This is a spray with all  natural ingredients including  aloe, olive oil, argan oil, pink Himalayan sea salt, coconut oil, sea kelp and  algae extract.  I just Spitz on,  scrunch and let air dry.
The salt adds volume and texture and is perfect for my super fine hair.

You can even make your own sea salt spray with
3/4 cup of water
1 tsp of epsom salt
1 tsp of olive oil
